1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Below is a picture of my 1977 Monte Carlo. This was my daily driver from 1983 to 1990. Now it just takes up room in my garage. The rare option that attracted me to this car was its Swivel Bucket Seats (seats swivel toward the doors for easier access). I did just about everything possible to this car to try and make it fast yet still streetable but the car is just too heavy (4200 lbs). I got it down to 14.4 seconds at 96.1 mph in the quarter mile before I gave up and bought the Grand National.

List of Modifications I made to the car: 400ci Small Block Chevy (RHS Crate Engine), Hooker Headers, 2 1/2" dual exhaust, 750 cfm Holley carb, MSD Ignition, Edlebrock Performer manifold, Competition Cams 260H Camshaft, TCI 2400 RPM Torque Converter, 3.42 10 bolt posi rearend, Centerline Rims (8.5x15 front 10x15 rear), BF Goodrich Radial TA's (235-60/15 front 275-60/15 rear).
