There were only 3000 of the 1983 15th Anniversary Hurst/Olds Built.

This H/O is equipped with T-Tops, Hurst Lightning Rod Shifter, Full gauge package, 3.73 rear gears, handling package, and a stripe package. As well as all the typical options: PS, PB, AT, PW, PL, AM/FM Cassette, Power Drivers seat. You can see all the options on the Window Sticker link below.

According to the Window Sticker the MSRP of this car was $15,417.60.

The car currently has 131K miles on it but it has been very well cared for. I bought it with 42K miles and have used Mobile1 Synthetic Oil in it since I have owned it. The engine is still strong and doesn't burn any oil.

It still looks good and turns a lot of heads but really needs fresh paint to bring it back to its original glory. The body is straight (no door dings) and virtually rust free so there would be very little body work required if you wanted to repaint it. Every spring I go over it and remove any rust that may have started over the winter.

The transmission is very solid. It is the TH200R4 4 speed Automatic. It had to be rebuilt at 90K miles so I had them install a shift kit to firm up the shifts. It now shifts firm and quick with no sign of slip. In combination with the Lightning Rod Shifters it is a nice setup.

This car has a Buick Grand National Cat Back exhaust system. The stock exhaust was developing some leaks so when I upgraded the Cat back exhaust system on my GN, I put the barely used GN Cat Back system on this car.

The only other change I made was replacing the interior seats, front and back. My original seats were getting pretty warn and I came across a set of Cutlass Seats that were a little plusher and in much better condition. These new seats are the same maroon color but have a small gold accent diamonds in the material so the look really nice. You wouldn't know they weren't original unless you were very familiar with the H/O interior. I have kept the original seats so they can be reupholstered and reinsatlled if desired.

I purchased the car on 8/13/96 and it has been my daily driver for the past 6 1/2 years. It has been very dependable but is now 20 years old so I bought a new GMC truck for a daily driver. I hate to part with it but I now have 4 cars and just 3 garage stalls. If you are interested and have any questions please call or email me. My phone and email address are listed at the top of this page.
